Zell am See is a quaint spa town and winter sports resort, picturesquely situated between the Zeller Lake and the Schmittenhöhe mountain, surrounded by peaks of over 3000m including the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. Zell has a real bustling old town centre and there are more than 100 restaurants, inns, café-bars and pubs in and around the town. The Zell am See-Kaprun ski area is now interlinked with Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Fieberbrunn.
