Folgaria with its fractions of Costa, Serrada, Guardia, Mezzomonte, San Sebastiano, Carbonare and Nosellari, is one of the most famous holiday resorts in Trentino. Folgaria is the main town of Alpe Cimbra, a holiday paradise with a wide range of recreational and active offers.The plateau of Folgaria still shares its eventful history. The frontline of the 1st World War ran through the municipal territory, so three large fortresses were built by Austria-Hungary, which can still be seen today: Forte Cherle, Dosso del Sommo di Serrada and Forte Sommo Alto. The winter sports area attracts with modern ski lifts, a lot of untouched nature, history and culture.
Serrada di Folgaria is a small village located on 1200m with a long tradition in tourism. In this cosy village you can find a bank, bar, pizzeria and a supermarket. A wider choice is offered in the lively pedestrian zone of Folgaria 5 km away. The Martinella chairlift connects directly in to the Folgaria ski area.
