Bardonecchia lies at over 1300m, with slopes up to 2800m and is located in the Italian Valle di Susa on the French border. This well-known ski resort has a long tradition in winter sports. The first Italian ski championships were held there in 1909 and in 2006 Bardonecchia was the venue for all snowboarding competitions during the Turin Olympic Games. This vibrant resort is a shoppers paradise with 130 shops. There is also a large number of restaurants, bars and pubs.
